Support your local live music scene: modelli di economia circolare per la scena live italiana

The music sector worldwide is changing rapidly: a few mega-events generate most of the revenue in live music, while small and mid-sized venues – which give tomorrow’s stadium headliners room to grow – struggle to survive and face increasing closures. It is in the interest of the whole music ecosystem to support independent live clubs and festivals systematically, so they can carry on sustaining the entire music chain. In England, and increasingly in other countries and cities, a circular-economy model is being applied that reinvests part of the revenue from big events to support smaller operators. Which solutions can work in Italy? How can operators in the chain imagine models to collaborate with partners and stakeholders, cutting costs and generating more revenue? The workshop aims to encourage members to seek circular-economy models to develop within the trade association.
